It's Your Choice

Sometimes, the results we get are from the choices we make or don’t make. Throughout the game, coaches and players have to make hundreds of options that will significantly impact the outcome. Your knowledge and experience often make these choices, as does the pressure of the moment and your level of preparedness.

Early on in a young player’s development, they don’t see plays that should happen and make the wrong choice. They are placed into new experiences and expected to perform without being able to do them in an environment where they can be safe to learn and grow. As time goes along and the stakes become higher, they will be ready.

Getting ready is a choice that must be made and paid for every day. To get to an elite level of basketball play, you must choose to do physical and mental work. Do you like your mental imagery drills, positive self-talk, and visualization? Do your strength training, whether in the gym or at home. Don’t skip days if Elite is where you want to be.

The choice is yours!!
